The media story du jour. I don't know why tabloid editors give their journalists access to the internet. Someone whose job is to blur the line between fact and fiction isn't going to have the analytical skills to make sensible judgements. On the other hand, when all your news is made up, I suppose it doesn't matter if your sources are too.

Weird cropping on this Wall Street poster. Looks wrong. I think it must have something to do with contractuals.

Photographs of the Stasi prison. Totally unsettling images.

Ooh, this looks good. Not coming to my city though.

Very interesting. Much of the time, especially with a rebrand, it's not the logo that is critical, but the commitment with which the rebrand is undertaken. History is littered with bad choices in design normally caused by the naturally occurring aesthetic conservatism in large corporations (this is another topic entirely) but what normally happens is that marketing talking-heads are wheeled out to justify it (and the new Gap logo would be easy to justify - more approachable, new era, and so forth) and then future commentary simply ignored. Perhaps this is a sign of the new era of community involvement, even in the private sector. Either way, it's shockingly weak from Gap. I don't think their brand would have suffered hugely from the new logo, not in the long run, but I think it will suffer more from their lack of cahones. It's certainly cost them money they could have spent on ads.

Another crazy poster for DOUCHEBAG. I've no idea what this film is, but I'm loving their commitment to naive art.

Film poster of the day - stunning use of watercolour.

Ha ha, it does look like they are about to start snogging.

This is what I've been working on lately. It's an amazing, original film. Highly recommended.

Sigh. Every so often I see some work by Marian Bantjes and it makes me want to give up everything and go and live in the woods. She is very, very good at what she does.

Wonderful portraiture. An astonishing selection of characters.

Crazy optical illusion.

That's a fairly radical rebrand for Gap.The new logo is almost the inverse in every sense of the original one. A shame that it is devoid of any wit or intelligence. A missed opportunity.

Wonderful. I've always loved Mark Cousins' infectious enthusiasm for film. Inspiring.
